When exporting to an Epub document from InDesign, the program will try to convert the formatting to CSS equivalents. In general though, expect some quirkiness, and expect to ‘fine tune’ the CSS after the export. Here’s a look at what’ll translate and what wont:
There are a bunch of other features that can be supported in CSS, but isn’t part of the export:
- page-break-before: [always, avoid, auto]
- page-break-after
- page-break-inside
- orphans
- widows
- display: inline-block (act as Paragraph) Keep Options
- Drop Caps
- Small Caps
