InDesign CC 2014: Improved Epub output

The big big feature for InDesign CC 2014, and in fact for InDesign CC 2014 October, is the improvements to epub outputs. Specifically speaking, fixed layout output, better CSS support, and better metadata updating.

Fixed layout support is great for books that are more interactive, like children’s books, and support Javascripts for interactive elements… lots of good stuff

  • File > Export > Epub (Fixed Layout)
  • Epub 3 standard
  • Converts to image format
  • CSS support
  • Javascript for interactivitiy.
  • Assign viewing apps
  • Customizable object width & Height in CSS (object export options dialog box)
  • Table & Cell styles also now maps appropriately to CSS

For details look at this doc, (or if you have to make an epub for real
