InDesign Convert Shape: Polygons

InDesign has always been pretty flexible about changing the shape of the geometries. With Object > Convert Shape, you can easily change a rectangle to a circle to a triangle and back again. But did you know you can also change objects into a polygon?

It’s easy too! All that’s required is that you select the object in question, then double click on the Polygon Tool in the Tools bar. A dialog box will then open up asking you to specify the polygon. Once you specify the number of sides and the inset, hit OK. Then, any selected shape will automatically convert to this new setting. Easy!
