All the Letters in the Alphabet are Used Up in Photoshop

Most people only use keyboard shortcuts for the most commonly used tasks, but there are tons more that are already mapped (you can look them up and print them out). It wasn’t until I tried to assign a new keyboard shortcut that I found out all the letters in the alphabet are already used by photoshop! Here it goes, Photoshop keyboard shortcuts sorted by alphabet

  • A – Path Selection Tool
  • B – Brush Tools
  • C – Crop Tools
  • D – Restore Default Swatches
  • E – Eraser Tools
  • F – Toggle Screen mode
  • G – Gradient TOol
  • H – Hand Tool
  • I – Eyedropper tool
  • J – Spot Healing Brush
  • K – 3D Tools
  • L – Lasso Tools
  • M – Marquee Tools
  • N – 3D Camera Tools
  • O – Dodge
  • P – Pen Tool
  • Q – Quick Mask
  • R – Rotate Tool
  • S – Clone Stamp
  • T – Type Tool
  • U – Rectangle Tool (Vector Shapes)
  • V – Move Tool
  • W – Magic Wand
  • X – Toggle Foreground Background Swatch
  • Y – History Brush
  • Z – Zoom

Also, all the other normal keys on the keyboard is used as an application shortcut (can’t be remapped) or by some other keyboard shortcut

  • Number Keys – Change opacity (Of layer or brush tool)
  • [] – Change size of brush
  • ,. – Change to previous/next brush
  • ;’ – Change magnetic lasso frequency
  • / – Locks transparency in a layer
  • \ – Displays Layer mask as rubylith overlay
