Clear Guides in InDesign

I can’t believe I never noticed this. InDesign doesn’t have a “Clear Guides” function anywhere in its dropdown menus. Instead, use the Layout > Create Guides dialog box to zero everything out and remove existing guides from the current page/spread. Kind of counter intuitie, but it works.

Cool tip, hadn’t noticed you could do that before.
I use Command-Option-G then hit delete — but I guess that’s only quicker if you’re not creating new guides.

A simple Applescript will delete guides from an entire document :
    tell application “Adobe InDesign CS4”
    delete guides
    end tell

Sweet! Didn’t know about the Cmd+Opt+G before. I just dug around the menu and in CS5, there is a “Delete All Guides on Spread” option. I am sure it wasn’t there in CS4, but I have to double check.
