Photoshop Show/Hide Extras: Command+H vs. OS X

OSX wants to steal Photoshop’s keyboard shortcuts!

  • “Hide Extras” is the command in Photoshop to hide your selection, rulers, guides…etc.
  • “Hide Photoshop” is OSX’s command to hide the application.
  • If you choose “Hide Photoshop”, you won’t have your Cmd+H in Photshop anymore. If you want it back, you can reassign it manually.
  • In Photoshop, go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts…
  • In the View drop down menu, find “Extras” and assign it your good old Command+H.
