Adobe Photoshop CS5: Auto-Select Parameter (Adjustment Layers)

The Auto-Select Parameter option for adjustment layers will highlight the first editable field in your adjustment layer when its enabled. this makes it faster to work with if you like keying in your settings. If you want to use a keyboard shortcut to jump to the field instead, use Shift+Return.

Thanks very much for this. Since upgrading to PS CS5 I’ve been annoyed by the auto-select feature and did not realize it was a simple matter to just turn it off.

The problem was that the first field was always getting selected when targeting a different adjustment layer, disabling the ability to use a keyboard shortcut until de-selecting that field.
