Photoshop’s Keyboard Shortcuts from the Brush Tool

If you do a lot of digital painting, you are going to be using the Brush Tool often. Photoshop CS5 has put more effort into emulation natural media (like Painter does so well) with new brushes. But it has also changed some of the keyboard shortcuts within the Brush Tool to make painting easier and faster! Nothing slows painting down like having to stop and click through menus!

Keyboard Shortcuts from the Brush Tool:

  • Ctrl: Brush Panel
  • Ctrl + Shift: Pick a Brush Overlay
  • Alt: Eye Dropper
  • Alt + Shift: Color Sampler
  • Ctrl + Alt + Shift: Dynamic Brush
  • Ctrl + Alt + Cmd: HUD Color Picker
