Drawing in Perspective: Two Point Perspective (Adobe Illustrator)

Objects appear smaller as they recede in space and become further away. In two point perspective, objects converge on two points, to the left and the right.

  • Draw a horizon line
  • Draw a bunch of lines. Select half of the line segments and average [object>path>average] [cmd+alt+J] to converge the points. you can edit either half of the shape to modify the perspective.
  • Dupe it and flip it.
  • Make into guides.
  • Two point perspective is good for drawing factories. Smart guides make things easier.
