Drawing in Perspective: One Point Perspective (Adobe Illustrator)

Objects appear smaller as they recede in space and become further away. In one point perspective, objects converge on a single point.

  • Draw a horizon line
  • Draw a bunch of lines (I recommend the Line Segment Tool) to converge on a single vanishing point.
  • [Ctrl/Cmd+5] to make into guides
  • Turn on Snap To Guides
  • Verticals and Horizontals stay the same. Diagonals converge on the vanishinig point.
  • Objects of the same size/shape would resize in accordance with converging lines.
