Drawing in Perspective: Isometric Perspective (Adobe Illustrator).

In isometric perspective, all lines are parallel and do not touch. Some helpful hints:

  • Turn on Smart Guides.
  • If using the Transform Panel, skew first, then rotate.

    I thought I’d write something about basic perspective before CS5 comes out, and I might as well start out with isometric before going on to 1, 2, and 3 point perspective. You don’t need fancy features, you just have to know how to use the tools you already have.
