Arc Tool (Illustrator)

All these years of using Illustrator, I thought the Arc tool was useless. If I wanted an arc, I created a rounded rectangle and picked it apart. But these modifier keys made it just a little bit cooler in my mind. (So now it’s slightly less useless than the Spiral, Rectangular Grid, and Flare Tool)

  • [Up/Down Arrow] keys: Changes the curve of the arc
  • [X] or [F] key: Flips the arc from converse to concave
  • [C] key: Toggles the arc as an enclosed shape or open path
